If you already have a gaming PC, remote play is the best way to get more battery life and increased graphics on your steam deck

This can be achieved in two ways;

Steam remote play

This is setup by default, when you first turn the PC on

1. Please make sure you pc is currently turned on and currently logged into steam
2. Make sure the game you want to play is currently installed
3. Turn on your steam deck and make sure you are connected to the same WIFI network as your PC
4. Goto the library menu
5. Click the game you want to play
6. If the game is installed you will see a steam button if not it will ask you to install
7. Click the stream button and enjoy

Moonlight (Nvidia GPU)

This will take some configuration

1. Holding your power button and selecting “Switch to Desktop”
2. Once in Desktop Mode, open the built-in Discover app store and search for Moonlight. Click “Install”
3. Now that moonlight is installed we will now have a look at how to setup your games in gaming mode
4. Open up Desktop Steam and select “Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library” under “Games”
5. In the popup menu, identify Moonlight and then select Add Selected Programs.
6. Now, you can safely return to Game Mode. Use the “Return to Game Mode” shortcut on the Steam OS desktop
7. Open you moonlight shortcut in gaming mode
8. I will automatically look for your pc, select your device and enter the pin.
9. You should now have a list of game stream ready games, click the game then click play
